Greetings!
Join us Sundays at 10 AM, where broad-minded faith, honest questions, and an open and affirming welcome meet in a spirit of worship, compassion, and shared hope.
We are glad to welcome our neighbors as, imperfectly but sincerely, we seek together to illustrate the lessons of Christ in our life together through love, humility, and generous service.
Whoever you are and wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.
The Community Church is Syosset’s first– and oldest– church, founded in 1860, as the Free Church. Our name changed to the Union Church in 1908 (and we installed electricity in 1914!).
In 1929 we officially became the Community Church of Syosset, and in 1953 the nascent North Shore Synagogue first gathered and used our space for worship. Over the years we also hosted a Korean church, as well as a community senior center.
Circa 1962, we affiliated with the United Church of Christ , and continue striving to be an integral part of the wider community.
