This Pentecost and Memorial Day weekend, our service reflected on “Sacred Memory, Sacred Vision” — the birthday of the Church, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the sacred duty of remembering those who gave the last full measure of devotion. The sermon asks us to see the Spirit not as a power summoned to fulfill our private wishes, but as the presence of God drawing our lives into a larger purpose: faithfulness, courage, service, and the flourishing of all. May our memories refine our conscience, our visions enlarge our charity, and the Spirit breathe upon us again.
